Welcome to the Independent Football Alliance
Welcome to the Independent Football Alliance
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 10, 2026
The Independent Football Alliance (IFA) is proud to announce its official launch as the nation's first collective representing independent youth football leagues across America.
A New Voice for Independent Leagues
For too long, independent youth football leagues—which represent the largest population of youth football participants in America—have operated without representation with the NFL, access to major sponsors, or national funding opportunities. The IFA changes that.
"The world doesn't realize that the majority of youth football across America comes from independent leagues," says Commissioner Jimm Kramer. "We're here to change that narrative and provide the resources and representation these leagues deserve."
Our Mission
The Independent Football Alliance is dedicated to:
- Providing Representation: Establishing connections with the NFL, major sports brands, and national sponsors
- Attracting Funding: Securing resources that have traditionally only been available to "national" leagues
- Reducing Costs: Leveraging collective bargaining power to reduce operational expenses through shared vendor relationships
- Sharing Best Practices: Creating a network for league leaders to exchange ideas and solutions
No Cost to Join
The IFA operates on a simple principle: independent leagues should remain independent. There are no membership fees, no requirements to "join" a new league structure, and no loss of autonomy. We respect and celebrate the independence that makes these leagues special.
Partnership Experience
The U.S. Army Bowl, produced by our management team for over 20 years in Frisco, Texas, has established relationships with major brands including the U.S. Army, Gatorade, Adidas, Nike, Russell Athletic, American Family Insurance, Xenith, Schutt, SKLZ, Wilson, Verizon, and Toyota. The IFA brings this partnership expertise to benefit all member leagues.
Leadership
Our board includes:
- Coach Jimm Kramer, Commissioner - Producer of the U.S. Army Bowl
- David Baker, Board Member - Former President of the Pro Football Hall of Fame
Both are proud alumni of independent youth football leagues and remain passionate about supporting the next generation of players and league leaders.
Looking Ahead
The IFA aims to unite 50-100 independent leagues in 2026, with our first annual meeting planned for December in Frisco, Texas, during the U.S. Army Bowl.
"We're passionate about football and excited about the possibilities the future holds to grow the game," adds Commissioner Kramer. "Together, we can build something great."
